After a playing career that lasted over a decade, Brendan hung up his cleats after injury prematurely ended his 2012 season.
A fearless leader on the field, Coach Cunnane quickly earned the respect of his peers both at the Birmingham Bulls, and around the league with his hard hitting play on defense and bruising running on the offensive side of the ball.
On his appointment, Coach Cunnane said, “I have been honoured over the years to enjoy great success at the Birmingham Bulls. I have worked with great players and coaches and have learnt so much from these experiences. Whilst it is unfortunate that I may not be able to play again I could not be more excited at the new challenge of taking on the Head Coach role for the Junior team.”
